So since it seems that my spring cleaning had paid off for about 3 months until recently. My room is clean that you can walk around see the floor and what not but it could be the fact that everything is pushed onto my desk, dresser, closet(big surprise there), couch, and next to the monster that inhabits the space beneath my bed. And I learned a few tips and am planning on testing them out.
I took pictures of my whole room, closet, and everything else. Tomorrow when I wake up before I can look around my room, I'm going to look at the 40 pictures I took and see just how messy it is. They say its difficult to truly see the whole picture when your standing 4 inches from it. Well I sleep in it every night so the only way I can truly see the messiness is with bright fresh eyes and a Kodak share camera.
An other one I plan on trying is not allowing myself to do anything out side of my room until its clean (except bathroom breaks). And timing myself to see if I can beat my timer (I'm super competative).
So the tips:
1)take photos and examen the mess from every angle
2)Prohibit from straying away from the task at hand
3)race your alarm and make cleaning up a race
4)play something fun and happy in the backround like a fav CD or movie
5)have fun by dancing as you clean or singing so it doesn't seem like such a chore
6)plan a reward for your excelent job at cleaning
Three cheers for cleaning binges, Alex
